You will record, edit and submit short reports on local current affairs, talking to local people about their news and views.  These reports will be broadcast on our morning magazine programme and featured on our social media and website.  Typically these packages will be of between six and ten minutes in length, sometimes split into two parts.

Topics can range from local views on national issues to a chat about a local charity, business or event.

This will involve remote working, going out into the community and interviewing, then editing and submitting the audio as a package.

We’d ask you to have enough availability to attend some online training and then to produce one finished package a week.

This is a brilliant opportunity to hone your skills in a real-world broadcasting environment and build a portfolio of content.
