Do you like finding out more about where you live and the people who live and work there?  Could you be a radio reporter? We are offering full training and the chance to become a reporter and have your stories and interviews broadcast on the radio. As the local radio station, we are approached by many people and organisations who have stories they want local people to hear, from events to campaigns and from book launches to business start-ups. Your role would be to help them get their story across and bring it to life for the listener. We will train you in interview techniques, recording and editing and give you a background in relevant legal matters. This is a great chance to ask people locally about things you’re interested in and get to meet some of the amazing people and organisations in our area. You will need to dedicate around 8 hours in July to training and around two hours a week on average to reporting (though if you want to do more, you can).
