This is a very difficult time for everyone and, as your local radio station, we want to do whatever we can to support you and our community through it. That might be helping to get messages out, promoting what your business or organisation is doing or giving advice to people in need when reaching them direct is difficult.
Our coverage area is over 450,000 people and we have over 11,000 social media followers; we want to make sure you get the best, most useful access to our audience. Of course, we will do this without charge.
We have thought of many things we could do, from promotion and messages to offering an online store for local businesses but you will know best what you need.
As a first step, it would be really helpful to understand what you think you are going to need.
Please could you go to radioverulam.com/sidewithstalbans to let us know how you think we might be able to help and to establish contact.
We have our own challenges including maintaining our revenues (and therefore our radio station) and safeguarding our volunteers. We have closed our studios and moved to remote working for all of our volunteers and this will affect our programmes a little, but we have contingency plans in place to ensure we can continue to be a resource for everyone who lives and works in our area.
Finally, we’d like to recognise the enormous support our advertisers, members and our volunteers are giving us at this time and publicly thank them for making what we do possible.
