It's no exaggeration to say that there is something for everyone at this year's St.Albans Sustainability Festival.
Sustainable St.Albans and St.Albans Friends of the Earth have got together to coordinate a full 3 weeks of events run by over a hundred local organizations.
Running from 11th May to 1st June the Sustainability Festival has events as diverse as bat walks and bike fixing; plogging and pre-school stories ; Heron watch and and a Healthy Streets talk.
You can learn how to grow Asian herbs, or make bread, test your knowledge at the SustFest Charity Quiz night or find out how we can help our city trees survive....whether you're 9 months or 90 you'll find something to interest, entertain and inspire you.
It will be fun, but there's a serious side too. With the UK parliament leading the world in it declaration of a climate emergency and a warning from Sir David Attenborough that 'climate change is out greatest threat' we're realising that the time to act to alleviate our effect on the environment is now, and every SustFest event aims to help you do justthat in some way.
