Enjoy an exclusive visit to the gardens of Abbey Gate House, home to the Bishop of St Albans on Monday 13 May and help raise funds for Christian Aid Week.
The garden covers just over two acres and has been transformed in recent years. It is divided into several sections with different styles of planting. The two main parts of the garden are separated by a small orchard. At the far end of the garden there is a small area of woodland (filled with snowdrops, hellebores and bluebells in the spring). Bishop Alan, who is a keen gardener, will be on hand to answer questions.
The garden is located in the heart of St Albans, opposite the west end of the Cathedral. Address 4 Abbey Mill Lane AL3 4HD.
Tickets are strictly limited to 200 so book quickly to avoid disappointment.
The garden will be open from 6pm to 7.30pm
There will be no access to Abbey Gate House and there are no toilet facilities or parking on site. Parking is available in local car parks nearby, the nearest car park being situated in London Road (the nearby residential roads are permit parking). Unfortunately there is no disabled access.
