Verulam in The Morning – Full to the brim with local guests

FIRST BROADCAST : January 31, 2020 9:00 am

Guests, guests and more guests on Verulam in The Morning this week,  with Steve Simpson on Friday 31st January  from 09:00 until midday.

In amongst all of the usual ViTM features, such as time travel, local stories, local weather, local traffic and travel , and our local guide to whats happening in and around St Albans,  we are delighted to bring 4 outstanding guest features to you throughout this morning show.

Andrew Wilks will be joining us, a concerned local parent who has reservations over the planned closure of many of the county's adult short break  respite centres,  and will highlight the issues this causes to the families who rely them.  A compelling  story that you will not want to miss.

Local street chef Alex Tomasso , from the Weeping Chef  will also be joining us live in the studio,  to tell us about his venture to represent St Albans in The Great Sausage Roll Off, a televised charity event to develop a new twist on the traditional sausage roll. Alex is a regular at the market on Wednesdays and Saturdays and would welcome your support.

Local film maker George Threadgold, and actor  Andrew Rolfe, will be in to give  us an update on the development of their TV Series, White Crow, shot in St Albans, which is due for release this very night.  You can watch the trailer here right now https://vimeo.com/385555253  and see how many St Albans landmarks you can spot.

And finally, local comedian Chris Norton Walker makes a welcome return to the Radio Verulam Studios , fresh from his triumphant comedic return to  the Maltings theatre recently, to let us know about a charity comedy gig taking place in the area this weekend - and we might get a joke or two out him as well.  Dont miss this very funny local talent on your local radio station.

Oh and Radio Verulam's very own Clair Graham will be there to keep everything and everyone  under control - maybe !

So join Steve and Clair, on Friday from 09:00 for a completely full to the brim edition of  Verulam in The Morning
