From the archives – The Mental Health Conference at Sandringham School

FIRST BROADCAST : April 18, 2019 8:00 pm

Another popular show from the Archives this week.

Parents are keenly aware of the risk to mental health for children and teens today. Increasingly, schools are actively trying to support parents who are struggling. One great local initiative was the Sandringham School Mental Health Conference in November 2017. Before the conference, we spoke to the organisers and some of their many speakers and trainers who were contributing to this day.

Firstly, we spoke to Mr Kemp who is the Head of Pastoral Care at Sandringham and Debi Roberts from Youth Connections Hertfordshire.

We also spoke to three of the many speakers presenting at the conference to give us a sense of the value of it to parents.
