On this week's Country and Roots, there will be part one of songs from the best country and roots albums of the year, in the opinion of the presenter Michael Hingston. Part two will be on New Years Day.

The second hour will be Christmas and winter songs, but none of the usual ones that you hear all the time in shops and on the radio.
