Another ‘memorable’ Verulam Sport

FIRST BROADCAST : November 10, 2018 3:00 pm

Ahead of Remembrance Sunday we serve up another memorable Verulam Sport. In the Premier League, Watford didn't have their shooting boots on last Saturday, with 16 shots but only 1 on target. Eventually Newcastle would make them pay as the Magpies snatched their first win of the season. The Hornets will be looking to get back to winning ways on Saturday. Ahead of their away fixture with Southampton we  caught up with Watford's Head of Communication Richard Walker.

The Saints will want to forget their efforts last week too as they suffered a 1-0 defeat against Dulwich Hamlet. Back at Clarence Park and starting the day in a  Playoff position and only 6 points off top spot they will be looking for a positive result this week.  Describing all the action is the 'The Voice of The Saints' Ian Rogers.

No local Rugby action this week but we still bring regular Old Albanians reporter Brian Quin to the show. He will review the OA's season to date and will give his erudite opinions on all the International Rugby clashes in the Autumn Internationals.

Plus we hear about the inaugural 'Sport for Social Change' Conference taking place at The University of Hertfordshire in December; we chat NFL with Hertfordshire Cheetah's Conor Wilson and will look ahead to Saracens match against Worcester Warriors in the Premier Rugby Cup on Sunday. Sarah Hawkins will provide all the inside news from 'The Men in Black' who remain unbeaten this season.

All this and so much more, Verulam Sport with Tony Rice, Matthew Turvey and Jo Kiely 3-5.30pm 92.6Fm and online on www.radioverulam.com
