An FA Cup Special on Verulam Sport

FIRST BROADCAST : February 16, 2019 3:00 pm

Another action packed Verulam Sport from 3pm-6pm on Saturday 16th February.

The magic of the FA Cup returns this weekend and we have an FA Cup special Merlin would be proud of. Watford's Fifth round tie is on Friday so we will be joined live on the phone by the Hornets Head of Communications Richard Walker. Tweet in your questions to @verulamsport and they could well be featured. Plus, we have the Head of the FA Cup Committee, Radlett resident and chairman of Brentford Cliff Crown on the show. He will be hoping Brentford's FA Cup dream stays alive ahead of their Sunday FA Cup clash with Swansea.

The Saints fans will still be dreaming of a Playoff spot at the end of the season. But after a resounding defeat last week they will need to bounce back to form on Saturday. Travelling to Wealdstone; the 'Voice of the Saints' Ian Rogers describes all the action.

Saracens return to Gallagher Premiership action on Saturday and we have team news and game preview plus a full time assessment from our reporter Georgette Ryan. She is at Allianz Park with the Men in Black welcoming Leicester Tigers to town. In local Rugby the Old Albanians have now suffered seven straight defeats. Find out if they can get an elusive win on Saturday as Ding Crusaders visit Woolhams Park. Brian Quin provides reports all afternoon.

The amazing tipoff@3 basketball tournament is at St Albans Westminster Lodge on February 23rd. Tayo Odulajo tells us how we can get involved. With all the money on the day going to Kids in Crisis, bags of live entertainment and even a chance to see members of Radio Verulam shoot some hoops; truly an event not to be missed.

We have Head of Netball and Director of Netball for the local Netball Super League team Saracens Mavericks on the show and we learn all about Brazilian Jui Jitsui and how you can be trained by a real master of this devastating Martial Art here in St Albans.

All this and so much more, Verulam Sport with Tony Rice, Matthew Turvey and Jason McKenna 3-6pm 92.6Fm and online on www.radioverulam.com
