Literacy Difficulties – it is suddenly school report season – this is the time parents often get feedback on how their child is doing during the year but for some parents, feedback from school, teachers, and reports might raise questions, worries and thoughts of what help is required next. It is also transition time, when children move between primary and secondary schools. For children struggling with literacy difficulties, this can bring more challenges and for parents, it might feel like starting all over again.

Our show tonight raised awareness of literacy difficulties in children. The great news is that our brilliant guests have the knowledge, the information and the resources to help you and your child thrive and come away better informed with lots of ideas to take away.

Guests are Chief Executive of Driver Youth Trust, Chris Rossiter. over 10 years’ experience in the field – DYT work in schools all over the country supporting children with SEND difficulties (psychologist by background and chair of governors). Jane Sparrow (parent to Archie) and Sarah Cox – dyslexia specialist and SEN consultant.
