Events and Outside Broadcasts January to March 2018

We have several events and OBs planned for the first three months of the year. So I am looking for volunteers please!

The first is the Retailer of the Year Awards on the evening of Monday 29th January from the Alban Arena. We plan to record this and broadcast an edited version a few days later. So we need some volunteers to transport and set up the equipment, record and monitor the event and then edit it. We also need one or two people to record interviews with participants to be included in the final programme.

The next event is the Pancake Day Races held outside the Old Town Hall/new Museum on Tuesday 13th February from midday to around 1.30pm. We need help to transport banners and some equipment to and from the site plus one or two reporters to provide live reports and interviews to the studios.

Next is International Womens' Day on Thursday 8th March. We plan to include special features and guests throughout the day. If you have any ideas for this please contact one of the usual Thursday presenters who will be planning what they include in their programmes that day.

Next event in this period is the St Albans Dragon's Apprentice Awards on the evening of Monday 19th March at the University in Hatfield. We need help to transport and set up the equipment for a live broadcast of this event plus there will be opportunities for making live and recorded interviews.

Finally in this period there will be the Mayor's Pride Awards (date and venue to be confirmed) which we expect we will record for later broadcasting. Again we will need help in transporting and setting up the equipment, making the recording and doing some recorded interviews.

If you would like to help on any of these occasions please contact me asap,

Thanks

Clive
