Every year the Community Media Association (CMA), which is the UK representative body for Community Radio and TV stations, organises the Annual Community Media Conference at different locations around the country. This year it will be on our doorstep in in Luton - on Saturday 27th June - so providing our volunteers an opportunity to meet people working on many of the 300 or so other Community stations in the UK - as well as senior representatives from Government (DCMS and OFCOM), commercial radio and the BBC plus equipment and software vendors.
The Conference will be held at the central Luton campus of the University of Bedfordshire - also the home of Community Radio station RadioLAB with which we have a number of links.
The organisers would like some help so perhaps we can offer some. They would particularly like some people to record interviews (audio and video) and some parts of the discussions and seminars being held during the day alongside volunteers from RadioLAB and the University itself.
There will be a cost to attend the Conference but if a number of RV volunteers want to take part I have agreed with organisers we can have a reduced price.
If you are interested (and I can recommend this event as I have been to many previous ones) please let me know.
