Here’s how to enter and the rules of the competition
Register your entry in one or more categories
Send in your photos
You can also enter a category as many times as you like, so if you cannot decide which pot plant is your favourite or your crops have been especially good this year then you can make many entries and put them all into the competition!
To enter all you have to do is pay the fee and then when you are ready send in photos or videos of your entry.
- The Best Garden Category is allowed 5 photos per entry.
- All other entries are 2 photos allowed per single entry.
Each entry will be given a confirmation number which is very important. Keep this safe so that if you need to contact us we can find your information and assist as quickly as possible.
So you can send in your images as you pay or you can send them in later using your confirmation number so we can match up your entry with your details.
You will be able to upload the images through the special portal on the Radio Verulam website/ send them to the dedicated email.
To ensure fairness in this competition we will ask you to click an agreement on our website. We will also ask that in one of your submitted photos your details are on a sheet so we can see the entry is yours. The image below will demonstrate it. You do not have to be in the picture, but it is always nice to put a face to a name!
One of your entry photos must be in the format above. Either with a person in frame or not. In this way we can check if the plant is in your garden. The second photo you choose can be shot in a different way, but this is the fairest method to remove any chance of cheating.
In the entry photo, as above, there must be:
- Radio Verulam’s St Albans e-Flower Show
- Confirmation Number
If you are caught cheating then your entry will be voided and no money returned.
We may upload photos of your entries at any time, but you can opt out of having your own personal photo on our social media feeds.
If you have any queries do not hesitate to contact our dedicated Garden Show email email@example.com
Winners and Prizes
Winners will be announced during the live show that will be broadcast on 4th July 2020. Those who have won each category will then be contacted on the details that have been provided.
We would like winners to send in photos and videos of themselves to show, but this is not mandatory. We would also like winners to appear on Radio Verulam to chat about their winning entries.
The top 3 entries in each category will get certificates. Bronze, Silver and Gold.
Prizes are yet to be fully confirmed, but we are working to secure gardening gardening related prizes for winners. All winners will have their entry fee returned. An arts kit will be given to the winner of the “Budding Young Artist” category and a mini gardeners kit for the best young gardener in the “Little Shooters” category.
