Friday 8 May 2020 marks the 75th anniversary of VE Day.  Harpenden Town Council will host a celebration on Church Green with a vintage singer, pipeband, face painting, cream teas and a bar to raise a toast.

All are welcome to join this day of celebration and remembering the heroes of World War Two.

The schedule of the event is as below:

2pm Event opens
2:55pm a Bugler will play the Last Post and a dip of the standard.
3pm Pipers will play the battle O’er and VE Day 75
3:05pm The Nations toast to the Heroes of WW2.  The Mayor will say a short word and toast to the heroes of WW2.
4pm Event closes
