Local broadcater and keen amateur artist Elspeth Jackman has a solo exhibition at the Radlett Centre, Aldenham Av. Radlett WD7 8HL. This takes place for the whole month of January from 3rd to 30th, from 10am to 5pm. Importantly, she is giving the proceeds to a local charity - Step -where Christian volunteers and staff bring to the pupils a fresh understanding of themselves and of faith, in most secondary schools in St.Albans, and others in Harpenden.
Because she is passionate about people enjoyingher pictures at a reasonable price, she has purposely brought the prices down, as they range from £20 to £120. Her work ranges from local St.Albans landmarks, like the New Musum , Verulamium lake and the Clock Tower, to abstracts, to landscapes, and her speciality ,which is portraits of pets and people. Of course, these can be commissioned at very reasonable prices. Elspeth works fast, but often leaves her studio in an untidy mess ! Visitors to the Radlett Centre may also buy greeting cards of her work at £1.50 each.
The Radlett centre is also a good place to sit down with friends for a coffee !
