The Christingle service uses a special symbol, a decorated orange, to explore the story of God's love for the world at Christmas. Christingle, means 'Christ Child' and is used to celebrate Jesus Christ as the Light of the World. This festive celebration is open to all, and is particually suitable for children.

The Children's Society

During this special service we hold a collection to support The Children's Society. The Children's Society is a children's charity which wants to create a society where children and young people are valued, respected and happy. They are committed to helping vulnerable and disadvantaged young people, including safeguarding children in care and young runaways. They give a voice to disabled children, help young refugees to rebuild their lives and provide relief for young carers. Through theircampaigns and research, they seek to influence policy and perceptions so that young people have a better chance in life. To find out more please visit: www.childrenssociety.org.uk
