HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

Our health and safety policy is based on the following principles:

1. Ensuring that our volunteers, guests, staff and other visitors are in a safe environment at all times
2. Taking action swiftly when issues arise

It is our policy to:

1. Assess the risks which exist in our operations and premises at least once a year
2. Assess risks which arise
3. Put in place mitigation actions for all risks with a clear owner and timescale
4. Encourage volunteers to identify risks and communicate them to us
5. Provide volunteers with the necessary information to manage their own level of risk and be aware of potential areas of risk
6. Abide by all relevant laws and regulations
7. Ensure that there is an appointed health and safety officer with a defined role and delegated authorities from the Board
