Samaritans of SW Herts ( Watford ) opened in 1969 when the first Director, Graham, secured premises at 2 Local Board Road. The organisation quickly became part of the local community and is one of the town’s oldest charities. On Saturday 9 November 1991 Watford Samaritans moved to 45 St John’s Road, & the new premises were opened by Barbara Windsor.
