Based in St Albans, we are a friendly and inclusive community team whose aim is to encourage people with Parkinson’s disease  to play football irrespective of their ability, experience or gender. Although we expect players to be predominantly from the Young Onset of Parkinson’s Disease (YOPD) community (ie: diagnosed with Parkinson’s under the age of 50) there is no age limit and both men and women are welcome.

We play Monday evenings at Watford FC’s very own indoor training dome protected from the elements.

If you are interested in playing please register at

Typically a session will last 1 hour and comprise a short warm up, group training, team challenges (similar to Soccer AM’s "You Know the Drill") and small group matches.

Following my own diagnosis aged 45 I have been determined to fight the disease through regular exercise and Fighting Fit Football is my way of helping others to do this. It doesn’t matter whether you play regularly or used to play in the past, are a newbie or just fancy a kick about, everyone is welcome to play.

If you are interested in playing football, making new friends and sharing common experiences with others who have Parkinson's in a friendly and supportive environment, then this may be the place for you!

Together we can give Parkinson’s the boot!
