About Amanda Yorwerth

When a hand written reply from Sir David Attenborough over 20 years ago said that we all needed to do what we can to protect the environment for future generations, Amanda set to it. She restarted the local Friends of the Earth group and was one of the first members of what was then Transition St.Albans. She was a founding member of the St.Albans Sustainability Festival working group and and the St.Albans Environment Action Group. As a professional gardener and garden designer, Amanda has a particular passion for plants and trees, and volunteers with the Woodland Trust. A former member of St.Albans Striders, you may remember her as one of the first people in St.Albans to use a running buggy to transport her young family. Now you'll see her out on 2 wheels either on her way to work, or just for fun.
