Herts charities join forces in a new community project

From St Albans Drive

Kim - founder of H'Arts in Mind - and Jessica - trustee of Welwyn Hatfield Community Services - spoke to St Albans Drive about their new joint community project - Project Step Up - giving people the opportunity to create and sell handmade artistic creations at St Albans' Market.

Applications for the project will be accepted from BEM disadvantaged groups, those who have suffered from abuse, isolation due to Covid, etc. Anyone interested can email hartsinmind@gmail.com for more details.

H'Arts in Mind is a mental health charity, which uses art as a vehicle to help those suffering from mental health issues. Their website - which features details of Project Step Up - is hartsinmind.co.uk.

Welwyn Hatfield Community Services aims to empower women and families in the community, and offers a free dress alterations service - staffed entirely by volunteers - many of whom receive work experience in the process. Their website is welwynhatfieldcs.org.uk.
